We are back with another edition of Leading Off, featuring our Hard Rock Best Bets of the Day as we turn our attention to a pair of run line plays on today’s MLB slate.
Joe Pisapia’s Hard Rock Bet of the Day: Phillies Run Line -1.5 (+104)
I’m going to take the Phillies on the run line, -1.5 at plus money, +104.
Why? Because you’ve got Zack Wheeler against the Miami Marlins at home in Philly.
Wheeler has been very good this year, and I’m going to be betting on him today.
Chris Welsh’s Hard Rock Bet of the Day: Rangers Run Line -1.5 (+130)
I’m going to go with the Texas Rangers.
I’m going to be backing MacKenzie Gore, but this is another one of those situations where it’s more about the opponent going up against the Minnesota Twins.
Obviously, Royce Lewis has been that dude, but Minnesota has had its struggles, and they’re sending out Mike Paredes. Yes, you know who he is because you don’t.
This is a home game for the Rangers.
Gore has definitely had those ups and downs, but to me, this is them banging around Paredes with a 4.50 ERA and a Twins team in general that’s been struggling.
So, I like them on the run line. It’s good plus money. Rangers full-game run line, -1.5.
I did think about the first five if you wanted them to be up by a full run. You get around -115 if you wanted to play that. That might be the line to go, but let’s just play it plus money on the full game.
So, Rangers run line. That is my Hard Rock Bet of the day.
